Brian is the band leader and founder of B.G. & The Mojo Hands and continues to expand the band's visibility and performance schedule throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. His versatile and emotional, crowd pleasing guitar playing drives the band and encompasses Chicago, Texas and West Coast blues, swing, jump, rockabilly, and country acoustic delta blues. Brian has been influenced by many artists including Muddy Waters, the "Kings of Blues," Otis Rush, Magic Sam, Slim Harpo, T-Bone Walker, Elmore James, Robert Johnson and Ronnie Earl. |
| He has studied with recording artists Ronnie Earl, Duke Robillard, Paul Rishell, Little Annie Raines and Dave Hamburger. Brian maintains a busy teaching schedule of private guitar students through his Midnight Blue Guitar Studio, and teaches Blues, Rock and Folk guitar classes through Glen Echo Park's Creative Education Program in Glen Echo, MD and the Montgomery County Recreation Department in Bethesda, MD. He was a founding member of the original D.C. Blues Society Band that performed at the 6th Annual DC Blues Festival at Carter Baron Amphitheater, and has performed locally with The Cathy Ponton King Band, The Crow Valley Band and O.C. Nunn. | |
